SMC Order Block EA running on a MetaTrader 5 chart, marking a bullish order block, its retest, and a CISD confirmation flagged as a setup.

01. What it is

A trading bot that waits for the setup it was told to wait for.

Smart Money Concepts gives you a way to read a chart: price leaves behind order blocks, and it tends to come back to them. The hard part is being patient enough to trade only when the idea actually lines up.

That is the whole job of this expert advisor. It watches for the level on one timeframe, waits for the confirmation on another, and does nothing at all until both agree.

02. How it works

The level on one timeframe. The trigger on another.

Order Blocks are mapped on the higher timeframe. That is where the level comes from. The entry is confirmed by a CISD on the lower timeframe, and that is the trigger.

The two timeframes are fixed in pairs, so they can never be set to a combination that does not make sense.

03. On the chart

It shows its working.

Everything the bot is reasoning about is drawn on the chart, labelled, so you can check it against your own read rather than trusting a black box.

  • Order blocks

Each one marked and numbered, with its candle count.

  • Retests

Flagged on the chart when price returns to a level.

  • CISD confirmation

Shown at the moment the setup completes.

  • Trend filter

A multi-timeframe check on the direction being traded.

  • On-chart panel

The state of the bot, visible while it runs.

04. Presets and testing

Shipped with settings, and with their results.

The repository includes preset files and names a recommended one, so it runs a sensible configuration out of the box with nothing loaded.

Measured results for those presets are published in the repository alongside the number of trades behind them, including where a small sample means a win rate should be read as a direction rather than a number to rely on.

05. Open source

All of it is readable.

The full MQL5 source is on GitHub. You can read exactly how an entry is decided, change it, test your own version, or lift the parts that are useful to you.
